Beyond Nuclear, Bipolar Children and Their Families

This is a promotional video of a documentary from “True Child Within” organization about the hardships of Juvenile Bipolar Disorder.  The child is often misdiagnosed as for example ADHD, Depression, and other disorders that may overlap with the presenting Bipolar Disorders.  This documentary describes one of the hardships these families face among their child and how this documentary tries to bring out awareness to everyone who may think that the child is just disruptive because of bad parenting, which is not true.  Bipolar Disorder is a real disorder and it can be debilitating on the person and family members.

One of the most advanced researchers (such as Dr. Mary Fristad, the head researcher of the Childhood Mood Disorders Program of The Ohio State University I will be trying to get into as a Research Assistant) explain how often children are misdiagnosed and not being given adequate care and how the disorder effects the child’s social life.
